About The Department

The Department of English is the niche for exploring the world of literature. It offers Undergraduate courses in English (both Honours and Programme) in tandem with NEP 2020 and under the aegis of Kalyani University. The department since its inception is relentless in its pursuit to enhance analytical, aesthetic, linguistic and expressive skills of the students. The wall magazine “Poetica” gives free rein to the expressionistic fervor of the students. The department in it’s endeavour to maintain it’s excellence holds several seminars, webinars, faculty exchange programmes. The students take on a curated journey to their destination of learning under the tutelage of the able teachers of the department.

Baidyanath Baskey, Rajdeep Dutta and Riya Dhole are doing Phd.

Project

This is to state that I, Shree Rajdeep Dutta, Guest lecturer, department of Bengali, have permitted to carry on a Research Project on behalf of Bengali Department under the financial assistance of New Alipore College Research Cell. The title of the project is "Shantiniketaner Sthapatyashilpa"(Architecture Of Shantiniketan) and the project head is Dr Shiti Kumari Kundu, head, dept of Bengali.
 
The project is being carried on successfully.
